Day 2 of our Adventures by Disney Arizona Utah trip was nothing short of incredible. We woke up bright and early for an optional sunrise hike, eager to witness the breathtaking views that awaited us. It was a cold morning, so we bundled up in our warmest layers and met our 2 Adventure Guides, Mike and Byron, who were enthusiastic and ready to lead us on this unforgettable journey. Along with some other Adventurers from our group, we set off on our hike, excited to explore the stunning landscape of Sedona.

The hike up took around fifteen minutes. It was a pretty easy hike, characterized by gentle slopes and well-maintained paths. We had all adult Adventurers that were among all ages, and each one successfully completed this hike with ease. As a mom of 2 girls who are 12 and 9, I can confidently say they could have also successfully completed this hike, as the experience is enjoyable and not overly strenuous. The breathtaking views along the trail and the fresh air enhance the overall experience, making it not just a physical activity but an opportunity to connect with nature. So if you’re looking at this itinerary and wondering if you, your children, or anyone in your travel party could do this, I hope this information helps ease any concerns. The views were something from out of this world.

After our peaceful and rejuvenating hike, we headed to breakfast at Che Ah Chi right at the Enchantment Resort, which was the perfect way to start our day. One of our favorite parts about AbD is that most meals are included in your vacation, allowing us to truly relax and enjoy the entire culinary experience without any added stress. The restaurant was beautifully designed, featuring large windows that offered breathtaking views of the stunning red rocks surrounding us, which made our breakfast experience even more special. As we settled into our cozy table, we ordered lattes, a delightful fruit plate, steak and eggs cooked to perfection, and fluffy coconut pancakes. Each dish was not only beautifully presented but also incredibly fresh and so flavorful.

After breakfast, we dove right into our adventure-packed day, filled with excitement and anticipation for the experiences that lay ahead. We got picked up right from our resort by the vibrant Pink Jeeps. Once we arrived, we split up among several Jeeps. There was an optional Jeep for a less intense ride, so some adventurers chose this route to enjoy the scenery at a more leisurely pace while others, including us, were ready for the thrill of the bumpy ride. We headed to Diamondback Gulch, where we started our off-road tour. Our heart rates were high, and adrenalin was pumping as we navigated through the rugged terrain. From bumpy, steep trails to blazing through muddy puddles, every twist and turn kept us on the edge of our seats. We took a break about one hour into our ride, allowing us to catch our breath and enjoy the breathtaking views of Sedona. The red rocks, towering and majestic, exuded a serene beauty that took our breath away. Overall, it was about a 2.5-hour experience filled with laughter and unforgettable moments.

Our Jeeps then dropped us off at our included lunch of the day in Uptown Sedona, a charming area bustling with local shops and vibrant energy. We pre-ordered our food a day prior, ensuring that the restaurant was fully prepared when our group of 30 adventurers arrived. As we settled in, we began our meal with a spread of chips, fresh salsa, and refreshing margaritas. Something to note here is that while soda, teas, and water were included with our meal, we did have to pay separately for alcoholic beverages. The restaurant boasted stunning views, overlooking Uptown and the iconic surrounding red rocks. After we finished our meal and soaked in the scenery, our Adventure Guides led us back to our motorcoach, where Wade, our driver, awaited us with a warm smile to take us back to our Resort for the rest of the evening. There was an option to stay in Uptown and explore the local sights further, and some of our group decided to immerse themselves in the charm of the town, opting to shop and meander through the quaint streets to be picked up in a couple of hours by Wade. However, we opted for a relaxing return to the Enchantment Resort, eager to unwind and enjoy all the incredible amenities and tranquility it had to offer, soaking in the serene surroundings and reflecting on the day’s adventures.

The sun peeked out for a little while longer, casting a warm golden glow over the shimmering surface of the pool. However, the sun didn’t stay out long and soon hid behind a blanket of gray clouds. The wind began to pick up, sending a chilling gust through the air, making us shiver slightly as we wrapped our towels tighter around ourselves. We transitioned to the hot tub so we could relax into the soothing heat. Eventually, feeling refreshed, we decided to head back to our room to freshen up and get ready for dinner at Tii Gavo, a delightful restaurant nestled right at the Enchantment Resort.

We got ready and took the short walk over to dinner, soaking in the beautiful evening ambiance that surrounded us. Since this evening was “on our own time,” dinner was not included. We opted to split a flatbread pizza, which was much larger than we imagined, delighting in its crispy crust and fresh toppings, and a chicken pasta that was delectable, rich in flavor and generously portioned. I enjoyed a prickly pear margarita that quickly became my favorite beverage from this Resort; its perfect balance of tart and sweet created a refreshing experience that complemented the meal wonderfully. Topped off with the infamous Cactus Candy, it was an unforgettable combination. After dinner, we were stuffed and completely exhausted. We headed back to our room, and got ready for bed. We looked forward to what day 3 had in store for us, with the anticipation of new experiences and adventures on the horizon.
