Epcot’s Festival of the Arts

It’s that time again, and we’re preparing our brushes for one of the most exciting festivals at Epcot – the Festival of the Arts. We cannot wait to share it all with you!

Beginning January 12th and extending through February 29th, 2024,  prepare to be captivated at every turn. From the dynamic sidewalk chalk art featuring beloved Disney characters, to the larger-than-life paint-by-numbers mural, and the booths showcasing exceptional artwork by various talented artists for you to enjoy and purchase, you can’t forget the beautiful food they’ve made into a work of art to fit the festival theming. This is the most underrated festival and you do not want to miss it!

We absolutely adore pausing to appreciate the stunning sidewalk chalk art. The artists are present throughout the day, tirelessly crafting new masterpieces. They carefully mark off a space and begin their creative process. Some of the pieces are three-dimensional, resulting in breathtaking photo opportunities. We love to sit while we watch the art unfold as we talk with the artist. We love to ask what they are creating, how long they have been there, etc. They are always willing to share some art tips and share their story.

Our favorite part of the festival is that you can participate in an incredibly huge mural paint-by-numbers style. Head to the booth and they will give you a color and number to paint. Take this to the mural and find your number. They will tell you how many squares you get to paint. When you’re done painting, hand off your brush and they will give you a small card of what the mural is supposed to look like when it’s complete! Don’t forget to stop by later to see how it has progressed! This is so much fun and for any age! The results are incredible!

But you can’t forget about the food! Different booths are set up around the World Showcase so you can stroll, sip, and snack. Grab the Food&Wine app on your phone to see which snacks and drinks are located where. You can put them on your wish list, rate them, etc. It is so easy and convenient and makes preparing for the festival exciting! Plus it updates for every Festival throughout the year!

Now we can’t forget all the art you’ll see across the park! We love to see Artists drawing or painting right in from of us. With a variety of art available, you’re sure to find something you’ll love. We had the pleasure of meeting Louis Lochead while purchasing this print of Freddie Mercury made completely out of ripped-up recycled magazines. The original was on display and the details were mind-blowing. Louis also wrote a personalized note and signed the back.

Be sure to check out Disney on Broadway Concert Series. Running nightly throughout the Festival. Concerts will be held at 5:30 PM, 6:45 PM, and 8 PM in the American Gardens Theatre. To guarantee your seating during a show, we recommend booking a Disney on Broadway Concert Series Dining Package. Available at Biergarten, Akershus, Coral Reef, Garden Grill, Le Cellier, Rose and Crown, Spice Road Table, and Regal Eagle (same-day dining packages only.) Here you’ll find all the information regarding the show schedule, dining packages, and artists.

Here’s a sneak at some of the exclusive Disney merchandise you can look forward to this year! We are sure this new Figment Popcorn Bucket will cause a frenzy!
